November 27 December 17, 2021
Costa Cruises Costa Pacifica
Join us for journey of a lifetime! End 2021st with a real adventure enjoying this incredible three week voyage onboard the impressive Costa Pacifica , as we sail from gay friendly Barcelona to Italy & Sicily. Follow to Israel, and through Suez Canal, Red Sea & Gulf of Aden to Oman, Qatar & United Arab Emirates. Disembark in magical city of Dubai to live a magical experience and discover the countless tourist attractions of this spectacular city, known for being a world capital for luxury.
Head for Dubai and discover the beauty of Arab music and dance between the charm of the desert, with its ancient traditions, and the futuristic landscape of gleaming skyscrapers.
Every house and every street in the desert has been painstakingly reclaimed from the suffocating presence of the sand. That's why in the United Arab Emirates everything aims at greatness, excess and amazement. Magnificent mosques, one of the highest skyscrapers in the world, hotels with more stars than a firmament, theme parks from the Guinness Book of Records.
This is a country where, against the backdrop of a harsh and difficult nature to tame, there is no lack of luxury, beauty, shopping and above all a crystal clear sea for fantastic dives. A thrill not to be missed during our cruise to Dubai is watching the sun set to create the blackest of nights, full of stars, peace and immense beauty.
On Board the Costa Posta Pacifica
The Costa Pacifica is already a ship from the Guinness Book of Records because it was christened in Genoa on the same day as the Costa Luminosa. Its motto is "the sea in music": the styling and the deck names are all related to the world of music.
A stave of emotions on board amongst composers, operas and musical instruments that decorate each room. Costa Pacifica’s interior design is the work of an innovative artist in a harmonious blend of different styles. Music is played throughout the ship during the day. Particular care was taken to provide flawless sound quality aboard, and the maestro Mauro Pagani has also written thirty pieces of music exclusively for this cruise ship. When you're tired of the music, visit the external decks to listen to the melody created by the lapping of the water.
Atmosphere on Board
The atmosphere is very international with a special focus on the Italian way of life. Many passengers and crew members speak German & Spanish. The dress code is casual and informal. On a few days in the main restaurant there are Gala evenings for which a more elegant clothing is suitable. Costa Pacifica is like a swimming city with a varied range of entertainment programmes. First time travellers will love the fun, entertainment and Italian food aboard the ship.
Food and Beverages
There are five different restaurants including the Club Restaurant and the Samsara Restaurant. Additionally, there are 13 bars with a big variety of beverages e.g. the Cigar Bar and Coffee & Chocolate Bar. For breakfast and lunch there are some buffet restaurants opened. In the evening there are two dining seatings in the main restaurant.
Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation
Every evening fascinating shows take place in the big theatre. Apart from that there are some shops, a casino, a disco, a water slide and much more to discover. In preparation to the shore excursions presentations about the different ports are given. For the sports lovers there is a big gym and an outside sports court. The passengers who are interested in wellness and relaxation should try the 6000 sqm large Samsara Spa and participate in a sports class or book a special treatment.

Day 1 - Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona is one of the most popular cities for cruises in the Mediterranean, and the port of Barcelona is ready to surprise you. Barcelona's gay nightlife. Among the “ramblas” we discover great food and rivers of beer, but we are always under the watchful eye of Gaudi, who captured and expressed the soul of this place. The city is home to an innovative contemporary art museum, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral and the Camp Nou. Also, after these popular destinations, you can discover the Catalan culture. Take a walk down La Rambla before visiting the Picasso Museum. The Spanish capital is packed full of memorable architecture.
Day 2 - Savona, Italy
Above the port of Savona, the Priamar Fortress greets every departure and arrival of the Costa ships sailing in the Mediterranean. Genoa and its aquarium are nearby. The port of Savona, which you can explore during your cruise, is one of the prettiest of the Italian Riviera. The lovely climate, summers that are never to hot, mild winters and the exceptional beauty of the sea near the town makes Savona an excellent base to set out to explore Liguria. A stop in Savona can also be an opportunity to visit the nearby city of Genoa and its narrow, picturesque streets, known as “caruggi”.
Day 4 - Palermo, Sicily
The Port of Palermo has always been a strategic point in the Mediterranean. Today, it is a destination for cruises to discover Sicily, but in the past it has been a land subjected to conquest, each one leaving its artistic mark on the look of the city. Palermo holds such fascination and beauty that it’s hard to stop admiring it. All this is made sweeter by the famous Sicilian cassata and cannoli. The stop in the Port of Palermo allows you to discover its ancient beauty inherited from the Middle Ages when it was dominated by the Arabs before being conquered by the Normans.
Day 7 - Haifa, Israel
On your cruise to Israel, you'll land at the port of Haifa from which you can reach Nazareth and Bethlehem, both huge attractions for people of faith from all around the world. Multicultural and lively, this city of Galilee lies at the foot of Mount Carmel, the “vineyard of God”, which boasts lush vegetation and caves declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Ascent of Mount Carmel, from which you can enjoy the beautiful view over the old port of Haifa before heading off to Nazareth and Bethlehem, veritable cradles of Catholic, Orthodox Christian and Protestant tradition, at the crossroads with Jewish culture.
Day 14 - Salalah, Oman
The use of incense is an ancient tradition, but only in Salalah in Oman do we find a museum dedicated entirely to this plant resin. Use this stop in the port of Salalah to discover the second most important city of the Sultanate of Oman and the capital of Dhofar. After visiting the Al Baleed archaeological park you can admire the magnificent Museum of the Land of Frankincense, and then enjoy the great views from the beach of Al Fazayih.
Day 16 - Muscat, Oman
The Gulf of Oman is beautiful and the port and the city of Muscat reflect the economic power of the Sultanate. Take advantage of this stop at the port of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, to discover the capital, which gives off an irresistible charm thanks to its historical and cultural heritage. During your stay, you can visit the majestic and glittering Royal Opera of Muscat, appreciate the modern architecture of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, discover Omani traditions in the beautiful Museum Bait Al Zubair and explore the old town, the historic heart of Muscat.
Day 18 - Doha, Qatar
The vibrant capital and most populous city of Qatar awaits us with a mix of modern skyscrapers and picturesque souks.
Doha is located on the central eastern coast of the peninsula of Qatar, only 500 kilometres from the most famous cities of the neighbouring United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Unlike the latter, Doha is not a famous tourist destination but offers some interesting attractions and a glittering skyline that is constantly changing.
Day 19 - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Abu Dhabi is a miracle on sand. The majestic white marble mosque coexists with the mirrors of the skyscrapers. All surrounded by desert. Take advantage of the stop in the port of Abu Dhabi to discover the magical charm and treasures of the capital of the United Arab Emirates. During this stop you can immerse yourself in the history of the region by visiting the Heritage Village, admiring the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the most beautiful in the world, and enjoying the fascinating attractions of Yas Island.
Day 20 & 21 - Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai is a contrast: sparkling skyscrapers, among the highest in the world, and immediately behind the endless and silent desert, ideal for a sunset dinner. Take advantage of the port in Dubai to live a magical experience and discover the countless tourist attractions of this spectacular city, known for being a world capital for luxury. You will be able to may shore excursions during your voyage to Dubai , take a trip to Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, admire the splendour of the Hotel Burj Al Arab and visit the Palm Jumeirah, a man-made archipelago, the beauty of which defies the imagination.
