Bears, cubs and daddies have a new bar to call their own in the Centro Comercial Yumbo. It's called Iceberg, and it's at the top of the ramp leading up from the corner by Ricky's and Fiction. It's next door to Barra Onda, which some will remember as Claudio's Café.
The bar - which is a café open from 1.30 pm during the day - has a more modern and cheerful look about it than some other Yumbo venues. It has a terrace and a small darkrooom. With bar staff who are familiar faces in the island's bear community it has every chance of doing well. If you used to enjoy going to the old Men's Bar, you'll feel at home here.
The new bar has created a new space for a section of the gay community which has been under-served for some time as far as dedicated venues goes, despite the fact that Gran Canaria is always a popular destination for bears and mature men.
