Join us for a fabulous North Lake Tahoe Gay Ski Week! Our eclectic gay group gathers in Reno, Nevada; America’s biggest little city for a quirky night out on the town. The following 4 days we will be hitting the slopes, sipping on hot cocoa, soaking in the hot tub, and dining like royalty. Get to know a fresh group of new friends while taking in the gorgeous Tahoe scenery.
Enjoy our small group Gay Ski Week experience at world-class ski resorts at North Lake Tahoe. Take in a variety of mountain and lake views as we ski Diamond Peak, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows resorts. There will be ample time to enjoy the spa or take a dip in the heated pools.
Not a skier? Not a problem. You can still join in the festivities and soak up the scenery at the lodge while sipping hot cocoa or toddies. Try your luck at the casino or enjoy some beautiful winter walks. We will dine together each evening and enjoy each other’s company while sharing our stories from the day.

Day 1 -
Welcome to Reno, a miniature version of Las Vegas! We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to our hotel.
Tonight we will meet up for our group orientation and Welcome Dinner! Afterward, we will hit the town! Believe it or not, Reno has a pretty cool gay scene!
Day 2 -
Good morning! We’ll enjoy breakfast and take on Reno in that leisurely way that should follow a night out in a gay-friendly town.
Today we are headed to our first Lake Tahoe Resort! We will have a quick drive to North Lake Tahoe, where we will have time to explore the location before we ski tomorrow. Try your luck at the casino, take a dip in the heated swimming pool, or enjoy a beverage around the fireplace.
The afternoon is free to enjoy and explore your plan of action before hitting the slopes in the morning. We will meet up tonight and enjoy dinner together.
Day 3 -
After breakfast, it’s time to brave the mountains! Just a quick 5-minute shuttle ride and we will be hitting the slopes!
Diamond Peak is great for all ski levels. There are gentle beginner/intermediate slopes, as well as advanced terrain offering challenging trails, tree skiing, open bowls, and glades! The layout is perfect for everyone to enjoy thrilling ski-runs and end at the same base area.
Day 4 -
Time for another morning on the slopes at Diamond. There are 655 skiable acres and 30 runs at an elevation of 6,700-8,540ft.
Enjoy exploring the mountain and be sure to ski the 2.1 miles run before we head over to Squaw Valley for the next two nights. Once we are checked in, we will meet up for dinner.
Day 5 -
After breakfast, we will depart immediately from our convenient ski-in/ski-out resort. Squaw Valley is the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, so you know the skiing will be fabulous!
There is also the option to head over to Alpine Meadows on a 15-minute shuttle ride. Between the two areas, there are 42 chairlifts and 270+ trails across more than 6,000 acres of skiable terrain. We definitely need two days here to explore!
Day 6 -
Enjoy your morning on the slopes, as this afternoon we will head back to Reno for our last evening together. We will have time to freshen up and enjoy our Farewell Dinner.
Day 7 -
Enjoy our final breakfast before being transferred to the airport for our flights home.
Need more skiing? Head with your HE host to Salt Lake City where we can hit more world-class slopes!
Day 7 -
In the afternoon we will head to Elko, Nevada to grab some dinner and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 8 -
Welcome to your host’s home base! After an easy morning drive, we will get settled in at our bed and breakfast for the next three nights. Freshen up before we head out to our favorite lunch spot and show you the Salt Lake City sights with a city tour!
Day 9 -
Enjoy breakfast this morning before our transfer to Park City for some more amazing skiing. Park City is the largest resort in the US with 7,300 acres. Built-in 2002 for the Winter Olympics, it has 8% runs for beginners, 42% intermediate, 32% advanced, and 18% expert. Plenty of runs for our group!
Day 10 -
Today we make our way up to Alta ski resort. Situated at a base elevation of 8.530 ft, it rises to 11,068 for a vertical gain of 2,538. Atla is an easy access resort with minimal walking. No snowboarding is allowed here, so it makes this location less busy. Alta averages 547 inches of snow per year! The powder is incredible with world-class terrain.
Day 11 -
We hope you enjoyed your extended time skiing! Enjoy breakfast this morning and your transfer to the airport.
