 The PURPLE by Ibiza Feeling Gay Only Hotel is a dream come true in Ibiza! Until this place received a complete refurbishment and rebranding in 2014, it was operated under a different name as one of the numerous no-frills hostels in San Antonio (Sant Antoni de Portmany) town for several decades. Now we call it The PURPLE. And it is the first and only accommodation in San Antonio / Ibiza, dedicated exclusively to the LGBT market,- more than gay friendly.
The PURPLE is best described as a space for people who do not like spending their holidays in multistorey hotels with masses of tourists, but do prefer a cosy and very familiar atmosphere with the possibility to chill-out in the tranquil courtyard at the pool, or to enjoy delicious cocktails and mouth-watering snacks or other excellent food on the embellished terrace, sitting under one of the sunshades.
Apart from its close location to the coastline (500 meters or 546 yards) with its stunning views of the world famous and spectacular sunsets next to prominent features like Café del Mar, Bar Mambo, Mint Lounge or Savannah, The PURPLE is also situated in walking distance of the promenade 'Paseo Marítimo' (350 meters or 382 yards. And the next beach 'Caló des Moro' is in easy reach with a stroll of just 650 meters or 710 yards. The bus terminal is within a distance of 550 meters (600 yards) only.
At The PURPLE you can swim in the pool, have a sunbath in the courtyard but alternatively, you can enjoy our culinary offer without 'eating out'... There is one bar at the pool and another one in the lounge. And you will love our restaurant "A Pinch of Purple".
In the morning our breakfasts are worth getting up! We prepare English or Continental breakfast for you, serve healthy food for lunch and of course all kinds of drinks!
Imagine spending the day island exploring and snorkeling, swimming in the warm Mediterranean Sea, coming back to The PURPLE in the evening for a dinner, prepared by our chef...
The courtyard is the ideal setting for a romantic candlelight dinner or a get together with very good friends. Alternatively The PURPLE offers an indoor restaurant for guests who do not opt for alfresco dining under the stars. It is called "A Pinch of Purple"!
The restaurant and bars at The PURPLE are the ideal places for meeting other guests of the hotel and they are open to public because they shall also attract local people or other tourists of the LGBT community.
The tranquil and secluded courtyard at The PURPLE is the perfect place for lazing around and recharging batteries.
The outdoor area is very private, complimented by a glistening pool, hammocks and parasols, it provides the perfect space for relaxing on hot summer days.
