Greek Islands Gay Cruise 2025 Do you want to discover the beauty of Istanbul and the Greek Islands? Well, in June 2025 we invite you to enjoy a spectacular gay group cruise onboard of Costa Fortuna. Embark in Athens with us to spend a week visiting incredible ports where you can get to know new cultures or enjoy incomparable architectural monuments. Departing from the Greek capital we will visit Istanbul (Turkey), Mykonos (Greece), Heraklion (Greece), Rhodes (Greece) and Santorini (Greece).

History lovers will find plenty to occupy their time during their Istanbul cruise, like touring the Blue Mosque or the Basilica Cistern. Or, take an intimate, exclusive cooking lesson on how to make local favorites in Santorini’s main square, right in the middle of it all.

Costa Fortuna is a tribute to ocean liners of the past. Symbolically built in the legendary shipyards of Genova Sestri ponente, it is the sister of Costa Magica. Its motto is "first class" for the refinement of the furnishings and the elegance of its atmosphere.

The public areas and restaurants are decorated with reproductions of advertising images of the roaring ‘20s and ‘30s. In the lobby there are models of 26 ships of the past that have been part of the Costa Cruises fleet.

Thirteen decks are dedicated to international ports. 4 pools, one with a retractable roof, hot tubs and slide, open decks, casino, disco, and theater; all of this classified Costa Fortuna as one of the first ships with new standards of quality and hospitality for cruise vacations, to sail in great comfort to any destination in all seasons.

Dining
For guests who want to try something different! There are 4 restaurants, including one the Club Restaurant and 11 bars, including a Cognac & Cigar Bar. Club Restaurant is the special restaurant for Suite Guests and Members of the highest level of the Costa Club, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in an intimate and elegant setting. In the Club restaurants, pure flavor is the order of the day, and the presentation and service is even more meticulous. For dinner, the restaurant serves both regional menus from the main restaurants and gourmet specialties.

Entertainment & Nightlife

Bars & Lounges
The Ferrari Wine Bar is a classy corner on a Costa Cruise ship, where they can sip exceptional Italian bubbly. Ferrari is the Italian brand of excellence for sparkling wine. Arising from the desire of its founder to create a wine able to compete with the best French Champagne in Trentino, it is now known worldwide as a high-quality label. Costa ships have a wonderful Ferrari Bar on board, where you can taste a brut, rose or demi-sec or participate in the tasting of grande cuvee labels. Day 1 - Athens (Piraeus), Greece
The cradle of Greek culture, Athens welcomes us to its port of Piraeus, watching us from above the wonderful Acropolis. Athens is a great city to discover. It can claim to be, in no small part, the birthplace of western civilisation. You'll see great monuments from Ancient Greece, chiefly the Parthenon. This temple complex looms over the city, the greatest architectural relic of Greece's Golden Age.

Day 2 - Fun Day at Sea!
Strait of the Dardanelles: 'Dervishes Show'
Crossing the Dardanelles Strait by boat at sunset will be like travelling through time. You will see the gates of the Orient appear in the spiralling veils of the Dervishes, authentic ritual dancers who have practised a mystical, whirling dance as a form of meditation for centuries. A unique sight.

Day 3 - Istanbul, Turkey
Many say this is the most beautiful city in the world. What is certain is that it’s a unique city, the gateway to the East with a portion of its heart still in the West. The country has been a bridge between the two continents for thousands of years, which you might catch a glimpse of on your cruise to Istanbul. Istanbul offers sensory delights at every turn, from its towering, colorful minarets to the scent of coffee brewing in fragrant cardamom and sugar.

Day 4 - Mykonos, Greece
Mykonos is perhaps the most known and famous of the Greek isles, and public fascination with the island has seen a massive uptick in recent years. The secret’s out—Mykonos is sophisticated and glossy, the younger sibling of Athens, where bright white buildings pop against seriously blue waters and bougainvillea blooms unrestricted, Mykonos cruise revel in incredible nightlife, alluring white sand beaches, and a stay-up-all-night spirit.

Gulf of Mykonos: "Sea Party"
All the energy of the Mykonos night comes on board for a poolside sea party. Amidst the lights and colours reminiscent of the island's golden beaches and white houses, DJs with music from the most glamorous clubs in the area will keep you dancing late into the night. An immersive feast of pure fun.
Dress code: for a truly on-theme look, don't forget to pack a Mykonos Glam outfit with a touch of blue for the perfect ensemble.

Day 5 - Heraklion, Crete
Sail into the stunning port of Heraklion, a charming seaside city that was once ruled by Arabs, Ottomans, and Venetians. Behind the striking fortified walls that line its waterfront, you’ll discover medieval monuments, ancient palaces, and a trove of archeological wonders that span back millennia. As the capital of Crete, Heraklion is also an important commercial port full of modern museums, a bustling culinary scene, and a walkable historic center.

Day 6 - Rhodes, Greece
On a cruise to Rhodes, you’ll discover the island’s long, sandy beaches, vibrant culture, and thousands of years of history that unfold as you explore. Experience winding Byzantine streets in Old Town. See the magnificent palaces built by the medieval Knights of St. John. Venture further afield to beautiful Lindos, a whitewashed hill town dominated by a dramatic acropolis and an ancient temple.

Day 7 - Santorini, Greece
Cruise to Santorini, Greece help share the effortless beauty and history of the island with the world. Though it’s no longer a well-kept secret, Santorini’s charm cannot be diminished. The island’s multicolored structures pop against the blue-and-white buildings and the turquoise Aegean sea below. Less academic than Athens, quieter than summer party town Mykonos, Santorini is one of the most-visited destinations on any number of Mediterranean cruises, and for good reason.

Day 8 - Athens (Piraeus), Greece
The gay scene in Athens has developed rapidly over the past few years. Most of the scene is located in the Gazi district, which has become known as the 'gay village' (located near Kerameikos metro station). Nightlife starts late in Athens. With a couple of exceptions, most gay bars don't open until 10 pm and things start to get busy around midnight. Sodade2 has been Athens most famous gay dance club for over 15 years and boasts two dancefloors playing mainstream hits and greek anthems.
