Fuerte Amador, the Panama Canal’s Pacific terminus, lies at the end of a mile-long manmade causeway, built from the canal’s waste materials. Nearby, Frank Gehry’s colorful Biomuseo showcases Panama’s biodiversity. Miraflores Locks’ visitor centre tells the story of this legendary waterway. A short taxi ride away, modern Panama City has evolved around its two historic centres: the conquistador-era Panamá Viejo and 17th-century Casco Viejo.
Today we’ll board the SH Vega. Settle in to your cabin and enjoy a welcome dinner before the ship sets sail. Get set for a week of enriching shore excursions, exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, Brand g Signature Entertainment all in the intimate company of 150 of your closest Brand g friends!
Day 2 - Panama Canal, Panama Cruising the Panama Canal is a bucket-list experience, navigating a 48-mile waterway that connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, eliminating the need for a voyage around Cape Horn. The journey involves passing through three sets of locks, lifting and lowering the ship by up to 85 feet, traversing Gatun Lake, an artificial reservoir, and navigating the narrow Culebra Cut—a 9-mile stretch carved through the Cordillera Central mountain range.
Day 3 - San Blas Islands (Holandes Cay), Panama
Today we’ll discover Holandes Cay, one of over 300 small islands that make up the San Blas archipelago, home of the Kuni Indian community. Guided by Swan Hellenic’s expedition team, we’ll have the chance to dive into the pristine, turquoise waters and explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with colorful marine life.
Day 4 - Cartagena, Colombia
Cartagena is a vibrant jewel of the Caribbean, where old-world elegance meets tropical splendor. Known for its captivating fusion of colonial charm and cosmopolitan sophistication, this historic city draws visitors into a world of luxury and romance. The walled Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, enchants with its cobblestone streets, blooming bougainvillea, and colorful colonial mansions adorned with wrought-iron balconies. By day, golden sunlight spills over grand plazas, ancient churches, and charming boutique cafes, while at night, Cartagena’s energy transforms with live music, fine dining, and chic rooftop lounges that offer panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
Day 5 - Fun Day at Sea!
We’ll spend the day cruising the Caribbean Sea. Pamper yourself at the spa or enjoy some time on deck sunning, enjoying a meal or reading a book. There is also sure to be plenty of Brand g Vacations Signature Entertainment and Activities to keep you entertained.
Day 6 - Providencia Island, Colombia
Providencia Island is an unspoiled Caribbean gem that offers a luxurious escape into nature’s pristine beauty and exclusivity. Nestled between lush, emerald-green mountains and the shimmering turquoise waters of the UNESCO-protected Seaflower Biosphere Reserve, this island is a tranquil sanctuary where luxury comes in the form of natural wonders and seclusion. Providencia’s coastline is fringed with golden beaches, secluded coves, and vibrant coral reefs that host some of the Caribbean’s richest marine biodiversity.
Day 7 - Fun Day at Sea! We’ll spend another day cruising the Caribbean Sea. Pamper yourself at the spa or enjoy some time on deck sunning, enjoying a meal or reading a book. There is also sure to be plenty of Brand g Vacations Signature Entertainment and Activities to keep you entertained.
Day 8 - Roatan Island (French Cay), Honduras Teeming with marine life, Roatán, Honduras’ largest Bay Island, is surrounded by the world’s second-largest coral reef, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. The Garífuna, descendants of African and Indigenous peoples, have a vibrant culture here. Lush rainforests offer opportunities for adventure, while animal sanctuaries in French Cay like Daniel Johnson’s Monkey and Sloth Hangout and Arch’s Iguana and Marine Park home provide unique encounters.
Day 9 - Placencia, Belize Placencia, a beach resort town on the southern tip of Belize’s Placencia Peninsula, blends relaxation with adventure. Just offshore, the world-renowned Mesoamerican Barrier Reef is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an incredible coral ecosystem. Inland, the Placencia Lagoon provides a habitat for manatees and saltwater crocodiles. North, the Garífuna community of Seine Bight celebrates its traditional heritage through drumming and dance.
Day 10 - Belize City, Belize Today we say goodbye to our fellow travelers as we disembark the ship. Belize offers a captivating blend of ancient civilizations, rainforest trails and wild landscapes. Pristine cayes dot the 200-mile coast, luring you to Caribbean bliss, while the secrets of the ancient Maya are revealed at Lamanai, showcasing their architectural genius. Nearby, in the Maya Mountains, is the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the world’s only jaguar sanctuary, also home to pumas, deer, howler monkeys and tapirs.
