Day 1 - London (Southampton), England
The fun begins the moment you board the Sky Princess - which has been designed from bow to stern for your fun and enjoyment. As we sail out of Southampton (near London), we’ll gather for a hosted Daddy Cruise party. Here, you’ll meet your fellow cruisers and start making new friends right away.
Day 2 - Fun Day at Sea! Our first full day is at sea. Relax, unwind and get into vacation mode. Lounge on your private balcony or near one of the pools, or maybe even find a quiet nook to settle in with a book. Want to be more active on your day at sea? Play bingo, work out at the gym, watch a movie, dance all night, attend a cooking seminar, soak in a hot tub, watch a sunset (or a sunrise), play trivia games, sing along at the piano bar, do some wine tasting, check your email or surf the internet, grab a snack, watch live entertainment, get lucky in the casino, indulge in a spa treatment, catch the game in the sports bar, and on and on…
Day 3 - Haugesund, Norway
This quaint town perched on the North Sea boasts dual personalities. While renowned as the site where Viking king Harald Hårfagre united Norway as a kingdom in the 9th century, it's also one of the country's most popular destinations for the annual Sildajazz Festival and Norwegian Film Festival. Add in a thriving town center with hundreds of shops and cultural diversions to jaw-dropping scenery and thrilling excursions, your stay in Haugesund promises to be an enthralling experience you won't soon forget.
Day 4 - Skjolden/Sognefjord, Norway
Situated in the heart of the Norwegian fjords, the port of Skjolden-Sognefjord is your gateway to a world of wonder: this land abounds with national treasures, thundering waterfalls, two UNESCO sites, ice-blue fjords hemmed in by sky-reaching mountains and scenery so unbelievably spectacular you just may lose your breath. From the ruggedly handsome mountains in Jotunheimen National Park to the humble stave churches that dot the landscape, this captivating area is yours to discover.
Day 5 - Olden, Norway
You’ll want to see Briksdal Glacier, an arm of Jostedalsbreen, the largest glacier in mainland Europe. Known for its stunning natural beauty and the scenic journey to reach it. You can take a “troll car” or walk through the valley, past waterfalls and wildflowers to reach the viewpoint. Or visit Lake Lovatnet–one of Norway’s most beautiful lakes, just a short drive from the port. Or take the Loen Skylift, one of the steepest cable cars in the world, to the top of Mt Hoven for breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. You can hike around the area, or enjoy a snack at the mountaintop restaurant.
Day 6 - Alesund, Norway In 1904, a massive fire destroyed 800 buildings in this fishing port. Germany's Kaiser Wilhelm II responded with immediate aid, and Ålesund was reborn. Not surprisingly, the town was rebuilt in the then-popular Art Nouveau style known as Jugendstil. The result is one of the prettiest ports in Norway. Buildings with elegant turrets and spires can be seen lining the streets of the city center. Today, the city is one of Norway's most important fishing harbors and the world's largest supplier of stockfish (Klippfisk) - dried cod. Alesund's major attractions are the surrounding fjords and the stunning Sunnmøre Alps.
Day 7 - Fun Day at Sea! After so much fun and excitement in Norway, you’ll be ready for a relaxing day at sea as we head to Iceland. Perfect to do all the stuff you wanted to do on Day 2 but didn’t. Or, do nothing at all and just relax!
Day 8 - Akureyri, Iceland The town is your gateway to the famous "Land of Fire and Ice" - Iceland's dramatic landscape of volcanic craters, extinct lava lakes and majestic waterfalls. Visitors to Akureyri have a hard time grasping the fact that the town lies just below the Arctic Circle. The climate here is temperate: flower boxes fill the windows of houses, and trees line the neat, well-tended avenues. Thanks to that mild climate, Akureyri's Botanical Gardens provide a home for over 2,000 species of flora from around the world - all surviving without greenhouses. No wonder Icelanders refer to Akureyri as the most pleasant town on the entire island.
Day 9 - Isafjordur, Iceland The town of Ísafjördur is the municipal centre of the West Fjords peninsula, Iceland's least populated region. Some of Iceland's oldest and best-preserved buildings, dating from the 18th century, are located here. The town is still predominantly a fishing centre. A vigorous and varied cultural and artistic scene flourishes here as well. Mountains surround Ísafjördur on the three sides and the sea on the other. The ancient settlement site of Eyri downtown is enclosed by the narrow Skutulsfjördur fjord, which shelters the harbour in all weathers.
Day 10 - Reykjavik, Iceland The northernmost capital in the world, Reykjavik was founded in 874. It is the gateway to volcanoes and glaciers, lava fields and green pastures, boiling thermal springs and ice-cold rivers teeming with salmon. We’re here late, so you’ll even have time to do the Golden Circle or visit the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. You’re going to have trouble deciding what to do here today!
Day 11 - Grundarfjordur, Iceland Much of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula is a national park. The park's centerpiece is the mighty Snæfellsjokull, an imposing stratovolcano with flanks buried beneath a glacial flow. The mountain is a frequent setting in Icelandic myth. Or, check out Kirkjufell, called the most photographed mountain in Iceland because of its distinctive, pointed shape. Nearby is Kirkjufellsfloss waterfall, making this area a photographer’s delight. Oh, and watch for the birds–the peninsula is a birdwatcher's paradise.
Days 12, 13 & 14 - Fun Days at Sea! After all this, you’ll be ready for more fun and relaxing at sea. This is the time to do all the stuff you wanted to do on Day 2 or Day 7,but didn’t. Or, do nothing at all, and just relax!
Day 15 - London (Southampton), England Welcome back to London, England - enriched and inspired, and full of memories that will last a lifetime!
