Tonight, we take in an iconic Argentinian art form, the tango. Rojo Tango is devilishly delicious and the best tango in town by far; a one-of-a-kind experience in Buenos Aires. As soon as you walk into the impressive and imposing central hallway of the Faena Hotel and into “El Cabaret”, where Rojo Tango performs at night, the iconic experience begins. The high ceiling and clerestory windows resemble a church nave, and that’s how Philippe Starck, the revolutionary French designer, imagined it. It’s not just a regular dinner and show; it has the presence of all the tango standards: somber mood, emotional madness, lost love, and lovers. Fascinating artistic madness that conquers all senses, combining movement, colors, sounds, fragrances, and flavors.

Day 9 - Wednesday, April 22, 2026
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for a full-day exploration of Tierra del Fuego National Park including lunch. We begin with a train ride from the End of the World Station. The historical origins of the steam train are not as scenic and pleasant as today. In 1902 engineer Catello Muratgia began construction of the famous Ushuaia Penitentiary, a prison that housed felons from all over the country for over 40 years, its isolated, end of the world location and harsh climate aided in its security. The train tracks were originally built to carry prisoners themselves or the material to be used on the worksites, including building the prison itself. In 1947, President Perón ordered the prison to be shut down; the railway would stay utilized until the 90s, when tourism company bought it and repurposed it as a scenic attraction, officially founding the “End of the World Train” at the southernmost railway in the world.
Following lunch at Alakush we ride through Laguna Negra and Beavers’ Path to arrive at the spectacular Lapataia River. We’ll stop in front of Lago Roca, and visit Ensenada Bay for the Post Office of the end of the world, to get a stamp on your passport. Thereafter, we return to Ushuaia.
Tonight’s dinner is at Chez Manu Restaurant. Chef Emmanuel Herbin offers a gastronomy proposal inspired by the roots of French cuisine and elaborated with natural products of the Argentinian Patagonia. Beautifully located on top of a hill with a panoramic view of 180°.
