Colombia Bogota gay tour

Day 2 - Saturday, February 20, 2027
Bogota, Colombia
Your private bilingual guide will meet you at your hotel this morning and escort you into the heart of Bogotá’s historic center for an immersive six-hour exploration of La Candelaria. With its cobblestoned streets, colorful colonial façades, and layers of political and artistic history, this neighborhood offers an intimate look at the city’s cultural soul.

Along the way, your guide will tailor the pace and focus to your interests—whether architecture, history, street art, or contemporary Colombian identity.

Stroll through the iconic Plaza de Bolívar surrounded by the Cathedral, Congress, the Palace of Justice, and the Mayor’s Office—landmarks that frame Colombia’s political narrative.

Depending on your preferences, you may visit the world-renowned Gold Museum, home to the largest collection of pre-Columbian gold in the world, the Botero Museum featuring works by Colombia’s most celebrated artist, or the Gabriel García Márquez Cultural Center.

Midday, you’ll pause for a traditional Colombian lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant, offering an authentic taste of the capital’s culinary heritage before returning comfortably to your hotel.

Following dinner, get ready for a wild night out on the town with local gay guides who have the inside scoop on all the hot spots in town. This is an optional activity at an additional cost.

Zipaquira Colombia gay tour

Day 3 - Sunday, February 21, 2027
Bogota, Colombia
After a leisurely morning, meet your guide for a remarkable experience just an hour away from Bogota.

The colonial town of Zipaquira is indeed beautiful, but its fame is not because of its above ground architecture. The main attraction here is El Catedral del Sal, the Salt Cathedral, some 600 feet below ground.

There’s a hint of sulfur in the damp air as you make your way down to this most recent version of the cathedral, reconstructed after the 200-year-old mine closed in the 1950’s. The somewhat eerie passageway glows with purplish-blue light and gradually widens to reveal statues of the Archangel Gabriel and representations of the Stations of the Cross, all hand-carved…from salt.

Like most majestic cathedrals above ground, there are naves, a basilica dome, chandeliers and a floor-to-ceiling cross and statues here, but again, all hand-carved from salt. This is a sacred space and, depending on the day, sometimes crowded with the faithful, but this is as well a world-renowned engineering masterpiece that the Colombian Congress declared as “the first wonder of Colombia.”

We’ll enjoy lunch together in Zipaquira before returning to Bogotá.

This evening you’ll be on your own for dinner. Your guides and trip hosts will be happy to provide you with some recommendations.

Day 5 - Tuesday, February 23, 2027
Medellin, Colombia
Discover Medellín’s rich history and vibrant transformation on this immersive city tour.

After being picked up from your hotel, you’ll head to the city’s civic center, where your exploration begins. Dive into the story of Medellín—from the industrial revolution to the challenges of the 80s and 90s—and witness how the city has evolved into a global hub of innovation and resilience. This tour highlights the role of architecture, transit systems, and cultural movements in shaping Medellín’s bright present and promising future.

Your journey includes a stroll through Parque de las Luces and Parque Berrío/Plaza Botero, where you’ll marvel at iconic sculptures by the world-renowned artist Fernando Botero. You’ll also visit the Palacio de Justicia, a historic building repurposed into a vibrant shopping mall, with spectacular art galleries awaiting discovery on its top two floors.

The tour continues as you browse a bustling local market for traditional handicrafts and souvenirs while soaking in the city’s lively atmosphere, complete with flower-lined streets and picturesque parks. A delicious traditional lunch at a local restaurant offers an authentic taste of Medellín’s culinary heritage.

In the afternoon, uncover the remarkable transformation of Comuna 13, once considered the most dangerous neighborhood when Medellin was considered the most dangerous city in the world. Here, you’ll interact with locals, hear their powerful stories through vibrant graffiti art, and witness how groundbreaking public projects, such as the innovative hillside escalators, have brought new life to the area.

After some time to refresh back at your hotel, join your guides and fellow travelers for a rooftop bar crawl for panoramic views and signature cocktails.

Dinner tonight is on your own.

Colombia coffee gay tour

Day 6 - Wednesday, February 24, 2027
Medellin, Colombia
You wouldn’t be visiting Colombia if you weren’t the least bit interested in coffee, would you?

Today, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and head out for an authentic experience on an actual working coffee finca (farm) located 1.5 hours from the city. This is an ideal coffee tour that does not require you to travel long distances.

Along the way, you’ll pass through Antioquia’s gorgeous green landscape that has been so hospitable to the coffee plant.

At the finca you’ll learn the entire process of making coffee, from the plant to the cup. You’ll also get an understanding of daily life on Colombian coffee cooperatives still producing coffee in a traditional and fair way.

The coffee finca you’ll visit is very typical of many small family-run businesses in Colombia who produce an exclusive coffee that, of course, you will get to taste. Just as importantly, you’ll learn to brew the perfect cup at home and even have an opportunity to purchase straight from the source.

After an educational hands-on experience during a tour of the grounds, you’ll enjoy a traditional lunch made with love.

Tonight before dinner, you have the option to learn how to dance like a Colombiano. Sign up for our group dance class and team up with a spicy same-sex partner to explore the Latin rhythms of Salsa, Bachata and Merengue. This is an optional activity at an additional cost.

Afterwards, we’ll regroup for dinner at a local restaurant.

Guatape, Colombia gay tour

Day 7 - Thursday, February 25, 2027
Guatapé, Colombia
Your day begins with a scenic countryside drive from Medellín toward Guatapé, winding through rolling green hills and picturesque farmland.

On the way, we’ll pause at a lively roadside stop known for its colorful atmosphere and small petting zoo—an unexpected and playful break where you can stretch your legs, grab a snack, and ease into the day.

From there, we continue to the iconic Peñol Rock. If you choose to climb, you’ll ascend its 700+ steps for sweeping panoramic views of the reservoir’s winding waterways and emerald islands—a perspective that makes Guatapé so unforgettable.

After descending, we’ll head into the pueblo itself for a relaxed stroll through its vibrant streets, known for brightly painted zócalos and charming plazas.

Next, we make our way to the pier to board your private boat for a one-hour cruise across the Peñol–Guatapé Reservoir. Whether your group prefers to unwind with music and drinks or simply take in the scenery, this intimate experience on the water is tailored to your vibe.

We’ll conclude the day with a traditional Colombian lunch at a lakeside restaurant, offering beautiful views and the perfect setting to toast an unforgettable day before returning comfortably to Medellín.

Tonight dinner is on your own and the choice is yours. Enjoy a night of relaxation or independent exploration.

Gay Cartagena tour

Day 9 - Saturday, February 27, 2027
Cartagena, Colombia
This morning, following breakfast at the hotel, we take you on a tour to discover Cartagena’s colonial past. We’ll walk through the winding streets of this exquisite, historic city, surrounded by a 16th-century wall the Spaniards built to defend the city against enemy attacks. You’ll have an opportunity to walk atop this historic wall and experience the heart of Cartagena in the lively streets of its Old Town.

Our guide will also introduce us to sites of incredible history and local culture, like the massive 16th-century Castle of San Felipe de Barajas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Colombia’s Seven Wonders. There’s the Palace of the Inquisition and opportunities to stroll through picturesque plazas, past colorful houses with flowered balconies, artisan shops and cafés. Following the tour, lunch is on on your own.

Later today, you will have the opportunity to go to the city’s top-rated bar to team up with the best mixologists for a special rum tasting experience. The most treasured booty for any good pirate during those seafaring times wasn’t a treasure chest of gold, but a fine bottle of rum. Today, this caramel-colored liquor continues to keep the locals happy, as rum is the national liquor of Colombia. The rum taster will talk you through the ingredients, distillery process, and a brief history of the glorious spirit. Then you’ll enjoy 4 special rums, some accompanied by specifically paired chocolates — the “food of the gods” — to sample.

Tonight, learn about this beautiful city by the sea by exploring its culinary secrets. During this culinary experience, you will enjoy a 10-course tasting within the experimental laboratory of an award-winning restaurant.

The lab was born as a 4-year research initiative focused on giving visibility to the gastronomic culture and biodiversity of the Colombian Caribbean through exploration trips. The chefs set out to teach people that the food of this region is much more than fried fish, coconut rice and fried plantain. The cuisine of the Colombian Caribbean is the product of a crossbreeding of cultures that arrived in the Caribbean hundreds of years ago: Spanish and European, African, Syrian, Lebanese, but also indigenous people who inhabited the territory long before, and that together made their contributions to what today is known as the Colombian Caribbean cuisine.
