Welcome to Scotland. Our guides will meet you at the airport to assist with your transfer to the 5* Ness Walk Hotel. After a leisurely breakfast enjoy a morning briefing from your hosts before heading off on tour. In the evening enjoy a group dinner.
Tour of Dunrobin Castle & Culloden Battlefield
Your morning will take you by bus to Dunrobin Castle the most northerly of Scotland’s great houses and the largest in the Northern Highlands with 189 rooms and famously visited by Queen Victoria. Dunrobin Castle is also one of Britain’s oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s, home to the Earls and later, the Dukes of Sutherland. Enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea at Dornoch before heading back to Inverness to visit historic Culloden, the powerfully emotive and atmospheric battlefield where the 1745 Jacobite Rising came to a tragic end. See the Clava cairn which is a type of Bronze Age circular chamber tomb cairn, named after the group of three cairns at Balnuaran of Clava.

After Breakfast, we check out of the hotel and travel to Loch Lomond in the Central belt of Scotland. Our beautiful drive will take us to Loch Ness, Neptune’s Staircase and Fort William for a hearty substantial late lunch before continuing to the 5* Cameron House Hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond to the hotel for a relaxing evening to explore the hotel and grounds.

After Breakfast, join your kilted guides for Scotland’s most spectacular all day lifechanging off-road driving experience to include a hilltop lunch.
4x4 Off Road Adventure and Lunch
With 4 guests to each 4x4, your kilted driver guide will take you through river crossings, rock crawls and steep, challenging ascents and descents, set amidst truly spectacular scenery. Stop at a hilltop refreshment station for freshly brewed coffee, a selection of tea and other Scottish treats. Take you turn at the wheel and impress the other guests with your off road skills or sit back and scream in terror… Enjoy a Scottish BBQ lunch in a vintage canvas tent overlooking Loch Lomond’s islands. After breakfast, choose one of the exciting optional activity’s available to purchase, take a Fast Rib Boat and explore the Islands of Loch Lomond or, take a 9 seater sea plane on a return trip to the small rural island of Jura or choose the sea plane Island Explorer Adventure to see the spectacular West of Scotland from the air. Take a trip to stunning Inveraray Castle the home of the Duke and Duchess of Argyle and explore a real life castle which is still a family home.
Alternatively, spend your day relaxing in one of Scotland’s premier Spa’s. After breakfast we check out of Cameron House and depart for St Andrews. On route we will visit historical Stirling with its castle, and a visit to the famous Kelpies. After a traditional pub lunch we will continue to the 5* Rusacks Hotel St Andrews. Once you settle in you are free to explore the town at leisure.
Tour of Stirling Castle and Kelpies
Stirling Castle, is one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland, both historically and architecturally. The castle sits atop Castle Hill, an intrusive crag, which forms part of the Stirling Sill geological formation. It is surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs, giving it a strong defensive position. Its strategic location, guarding what was, until the 1890s, the farthest downstream crossing of the River Forth, has made it an important fortification in the region from the earliest times.

After your included Breakfast we head North to Dundee and visit the V&A Museum of Design, before heading to Glamis Castle for a afternoon tea and tour. On returning to St Andrews, join your hosts for a curry night. Scotland’s national food, or at least favorite food is said to be curry, so lets experience it Scottish style.
Tour of Dundee and Glamis castle
After your included Breakfast we head North for a panoramic tour of Dundee and a visit the V&A Museum of Design, a branch of the Victoria & Albert Museum In London. We then continue to Glamis Castle which has been the home of the Lyon family since the 14th century, though the present building dates largely from the 17th century. Glamis Castle was the childhood home of the late Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. Her second daughter, Princess Margaret was born there on 21 August 1930. The castle boasts over 650 years of history that you can immerse yourself in and wander through the magnificent gardens. Join us in the Castle Kitchen, situated in the castle’s original Victorian kitchens, and indulge in a decadent afternoon tea.

Alternately, visit the ancient architecture of the city and see its boutique shops. Check out is at Noon, when you board your bus and depart for Edinburgh, stopping for a well deserved late lunch. Once settled into the Kimpton Hotel. Join your hosts for a orienteering of the city’s gay bars. The first drink is on us! Please note that walking in Edinburgh is difficult so let us know in advance if you have mobility issues.

This morning we take to the streets to explore Edinburgh’s Old Town where you will see the medieval buildings, churches and the castle up close and take a 1-hour LGBTQI+ social history tour led by 18th century poet, Robert Fergusson and 16th century Sapphic poet Marie Maitland, exploring the hidden lives of real people who were essential to the development of art, literature and science in Edinburgh.. After s light lunch feel free to make the rest of your day your way. Your guides will walk you back to the hotel or feel freee to set of on your own to further explore the Old Town or make the most of the entertainment options available see the entertainment section for options.
Edinburgh Old Town Walking Tour (Morning)
The Old Town (Scots: Auld Toun) is the name popularly given to the oldest part of Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh. The area has preserved much of its medieval street plan and many Reformation-era buildings. Together with the 18th/19th-century New Town, and West End, it forms part of a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Royal Mile from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace castle to the Scottish parliament with your guide and take a close look at The Real St Mary’s Close with a LGBTQI + Pride History private tour.

After breakfast take the opportunity to once again freestyle your day your way, and choosing an included option. We have two tours of differing walking abilities. A visit to Scotland’s most populous city in and the fourth-most populous city Glasgow which grew from a small rural settlement on the River Clyde to become the largest seaport in Scotland or a trip to the famous Rosslyn Chapel made famous in the novel, The Davinchi Code.

Join your hosts for a walk to the train station where you will take a train to Glasgow, seeing all the views the countryside has to offer en route as you sit back and let the train take the strain. Once in Glasgow, we will explore the city center on foot and see why the once, “Second City of the British Empire” for much of the Victorian and Edwardian eras has a completely different vibe to Edinburgh. We will enjoy a delicious serving of Afternoon Tea and Fizz aboard a vintage red sightseeing bus. Enjoy all the classics including home baked scones with fresh whipped cream and jam, sandwiches, mini bread rolls or wraps, mini quiche, petit fours and mouth watering cakes. All washed down with a glass of fizz and fresh tea or coffee as you explore the city. We finish our afternoon visiting a gay bar in Glasgow’s merchant city before returning to Edinburgh on the train.

Join your hosts for a walk to the train station where you will take a train to Glasgow, seeing all the views the countryside has to offer en route as you sit back and let the train take the strain. Once in Glasgow, we will explore the city center on foot and see why the once, “Second City of the British Empire” for much of the Victorian and Edwardian eras has a completely different vibe to Edinburgh. We will enjoy a delicious serving of Afternoon Tea and Fizz aboard a vintage red sightseeing bus. Enjoy all the classics including home baked scones with fresh whipped cream and jam, sandwiches, mini bread rolls or wraps, mini quiche, petit fours and mouth watering cakes. All washed down with a glass of fizz and fresh tea or coffee as you explore the city. We finish our afternoon visiting a gay bar in Glasgow’s merchant city before returning to Edinburgh on the train.

Rosslyn Chapel took over 40 years to build and was incomplete when Sir William St Clair, the founder, died in 1484. The beauty of its setting and the mysterious symbolism of its ornate stonework have inspired, attracted, and intrigued artists, writers and visitors ever since. Made famous in The Davinci Code, it is one of Scotland’s most popular visitor attractions. It is often described as a ‘treasure in stone’, practically every surface inside and outside this unique building is carved in an outstanding display of craftsmanship, including angels, Green Men and the famous Apprentice Pillar. You can use a free carvings map to discover these remarkable features and find out more at one of the talks given by the Guides. You will be picked up and dropped off from the hotel.

When should I schedule my flights?
Arrival You should schedule your flights to arrive in Inverness (IVN) by August 12, 2025. Your first event will be an informal welcome gathering starting at approximately 5.30pm and your first official activity/touring will be August 13, 2025 at approximately 9am.
Departure
You should schedule your departure from Edinburgh (EDI) anytime on August 24, 2025. Hotel check out is at Noon.
What arrival and departure transfers are included?
Arrival transfers
are provided from the Inverness Airport (INV) to the Ness Walk Hotel
Departure transfers
are provided from the Kimpton Charlotte Square hotel to the Edinburgh Airport (EDI).
If you extend your stay at these properties, the transfers will still be included. Contact our team to ensure arrangements outside of these arrival and departure transfers will be included. Booked guests should provide their arrival and departure details 45 days prior to the trip to ensure transfer availability.
What are the passport and visa requirements?
Citizens of the US and Canada are required to have a valid passport, which expires at least 6 months after their last day in the United Kingdom. Visas are not required for citizens of these countries.
Citizens of all other countries should check with the UK consulate in their home country to verify entry requirements.
What weather can I expect from this trip?
The weather in Scotland and especially on the islands will be varied. The days can reach mid 70’s and the evenings are generally in the 40’s.
