A day trip exploring Como and its lake is without a doubt a highlight on this tour. We will then move to one of the most fascinating yet less known cities in Northern Italy, Verona. The city hosts the best preserved open-air Opera theatre in the world, the Arena. Aida by Verdi in the enchanting atmosphere of one of the oldest Roman amphitheaters still surviving will be for sure an amazing night of our very own Gay Opera Tour!
We will end our Gay Opera Tour in Venice, the charming city on everyone’s Romance list that will fascinate you with its regal history and architecture. We will pay homage to La Fenice Opera House where we will enjoy The Barber of Sevilla by Gioacchino Rossini. On this Gay Opera Tour you will have the opportunity to meet like-minded gay men from all over the world, as well as discover some of the most beautiful cities in Italy in a friendly, familiar, safe environment. Day 1 - Wednesday
Welcome to Milan, the Italian capital of fashion and business! As well as the first stop of our very own Gay Opera Tour.
In the early afternoon we meet in the hotel. We take off for a welcome aperitif: a glass of Prosecco is on us of course! This is our opportunity to meet each other and have a full briefing on the Opera adventures that lie ahead.
In the evening you make our way to the theatre: it’s Opera Time! You will have a pleasant night enjoying the first opera included in the tour: Macbeth, one of Giuseppe Verdi’s masterpieces.

Day 2 - Thursday
After a hearty breakfast the Gay Opera Tour embarks on a tour of the best-known sights of Milan. Starting in Duomo Square, we will have the opportunity to visit Milan’s Cathedral (entrance fee not included). Next off is a stroll in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele before making our way to the Sforza Castle.
Enjoy lunch and stroll around Milan at your own pace for the rest of the afternoon. You can ask your Italy Gay Travel hosts any help and tips about the city and what to do. They are here to help you!
A bit of time to relax, then it’s time to join our Welcome Dinner. You’ll love Milan cuisine!
An escapade of Gay bar hopping will end the evening nicely!

Day 3 - Friday
After breakfast we will head to Como for a tour of the city and its lake. Our exclusive Gay Opera Tour allows a relaxed pace to take in the picturesque landscapes and beautiful landmarks of this city. Enjoy ‘la Dolce Vita’ among villas of delight and gardens.
We will take the ferry in Como and discover the lake and amazing villas around it.
Enjoy a delicious lunch (your expenses) by the lake with incredible views. At the end of the tour, we will make our way back to Milan.

Day 4 - Saturday
After breakfast, we take a train to reach the second destination of our Gay Opera Tour: Verona.
After checking into our accommodation, do as you please: this is a free afternoon to explore the city at your own pace.
In the evening we will enjoy tone of the most famous and iconic operas by Giuseppe Verdi, Aida. The setting is spectacular: the biggest Open Air Theatre in the world, the Verona Arena.

Day 5 - Sunday
In the morning, our Gay Opera Tour undertakes a guided tour of Verona.
Meander through the streets, squares and bridges of Verona in the words of the great Shakespeare. Visit Juliet’s tomb, Romeo’s house, and Juliet’s balcony. Get the true sense of the historical background of the legend. Not stopping there, we will also explore the palaces and places of the Scala family, rulers of Verona at time of the Romeo and Juliet romance.
The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the city at your own pace. Shopping anyone?
But remember tonight Pizza dinner is on us: you will savour one of the best Neapolitan Pizzas around.

Day 6 - Monday
After breakfast we take the high speed train to reach the last stop of our unforgettable Gay Opera Tour: Venice.
Venice is one of the most romantic cities in the world!
After checking into your hotel, feel free to explore this historical city at your own pace. In the evening we will enjoy the last Opera night of our very own Gay Opera Tour at the iconic Fenice theatre in Venice: Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville) by Gioacchino Rossini is on stage.

Day 7 - Tuesday
After breakfast, we take a walking tour of the enchanting city of Venice. We will explore San Marco Square, as well as the typical narrow alleys and over stone footbridges characteristic of the city. Discover the sordid secrets and thrills and spills of Venice.
In the afternoon, do as you please. Why not explore some of the colorful islands nearby? Murano, Burano and Torcello are just a short boat ride away.
But do not forget that tonight is Dinner night on us in one of the charming small bars of this fantastic old city!
