On this 8 days gay trip you will experience the full magnitude of the south western part of Italy - from mountains that plunge dramatically into the turquoise sea to the local cuisine that will blow your senses away! Genuine rawness and jaw dropping landscapes! Naples, once the main port of all Italy and today a city full of cultural richness, folklore, excellent food and people warmth.
The amazing Naples and the surrounding territory experienced in a gay friendly way, going to discover all the curiosities, the hidden aspects and the homosexual personalities who have made this city great in culture and art. The incredible ruins of Pompeii and Paestum will be part of this tour, as well as the relaxing village of Sorrento, where to taste the local liquor Limoncello, and the island of Capri, a chic and trendy destination where to have some shopping before getting back to our homes.
Day 1 - Naples, Italy
Ciao & welcome to Naples!
Private transfer will take you to your hotel in central Naples.
After checking in, feel free to go out and explore the gay night life Naples has to offer such as Depot Club or The Basement Club.
Day 2 - Naples Tour
After breakfast meet your guide and start the walking tour of Naples. Walk through the famous Spaccanapoli, before continuing to the Royal Palace, the Spanish Quarters, the Maschio Angioino, San Severo Chapel and Capodimonte Museum.
Visit Naples Underground and travel to the past, a world of 2400 years ago. Every historic epic, from the foundation of Neopolis, to the bombs of WWII, has left its mark on the walls of the yellow tufa stone - the soul of Naples from which the city was built.
Continue to the famous Piazza Bellini, a bustling Piazza in the center of the city where you can find a multitude of gay friendly restaurants, cafes, and bars and the heart of the Gay night life of this city.
Day 3 - Capri
After breakfast transfer and head to Naples Harbour from which you will board the hydrofoil to Capri island, a hotspot for European gay life from the early 20th century. A private transfer will take you to your hotel.
Meet your guide and start the tour of the island with first stop to Anacapri where you will have the chance to visit the famous Villa San Michele and the Church of San Michele. Then continue to the center of Capri for a short walking tour in the narrow streets with its glamour boutiques, Villa Jovis and the Augustus Gardens with a fantastic view of the Faraglioni cliffs.
Free time for shopping and trying the amazing seafood the island has to offer!
Day 4 - Sorrento - Positano
Following breakfast at the hotel get transferred and hop on the hydrofoil from Capri to Sorrento.
From Sorrento you will be transferred to the town of Positano and after settling into your hotel, feel free to go out and explore the town on your own. This precious village, with its typical narrow streets full of artisanal shops, tasty flavors and beautiful views on the Tyrrhenian Sea will give you the real feel of Italy.
Overnight in Positano.
Day 5 - Positano - Amalfi
After breakfast visit Positano, a pastel resort town perched on the cliffs, renowned for its romance and elegance. Follow the footsteps of many famous writers like Shelley, Goethe, Steinbeck - walking through its narrow streets. A drive along the Amalfi coast road will take you to Amalfi, a beautiful village with 11th century cathedral of St. Andrew. A walking tour of this village will show you this beautiful little town. Afterwards, if weather allows, discover by a boat the famous Emerald Grotto, discovered in 1932 by a local fisherman, an underground cavern famous for its translucent, turquoise-blue waters.
Back to the hotel for an overnight.
Day 6 - Ravello - Vietri sul Mare - Minori
Following breakfast depart to the village of Ravello, the garden town, considered one of the most romantic and beautiful small towns in southern Italy. Perched on steep, terraced slopes, it is a place blessed with lush gardens, quiet lanes with its 11th-century cathedral and Villa Rufolo. Built in the 13th century, the villa's guests have included popes and kings, as well as Richard Wagner, who composed part of his opera Parsifal here in 1880.
Visit Vietri sul Mare, a city which is a true explosion of colors and flavors, worldwide famous for the ceramics.
Afterwards you will have the option to cook your own dinner with a pizza cooking class guided by a private chef in Minori.
Head back to the hotel for an overnight.
Day 7 - Pompeii - Vesuvio
After breakfast meet your guide and head to Pompeii, a lost town under the imposing Volcano Vesuvius. Explore the city which was frozen in time under the volcanic ash.
Today’s walking tour is with a particular focus on the sexuality in Pompeii, very well known for its common homo-erotic relations.
After lunch greet the Vesuvio Volcano which is best known for its eruption that led to the burying and destruction of the Roman cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, and several other settlements.
Continue to your hotel in Castellamare di Stabia for an overnight.
Day 8 - Naples Departure day
After breakfast, transfer back to the airport in Naples for your flight back with everlasting memories of breathtaking Italy!
