Himalayas gay tour

Day 1 - Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal
Arrive Kathmandu airport (KTM). Meet and greet. Transfer to hotel – dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 - Kathmandu - Patan
Breakfast at hotel and proceed for city tour of Kathmandu. Visiting Wayambunath Stupa: Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. It is also known as the Monkey Temple as there are holy monkeys living in the north-west parts of the temple, Patan City and lunch at local restaurant. Dinner at hotel.

Day 3 - Kathmandu - Bhaktapur
Breakfast at hotel and full day sightseeing covering Pashupatinath, Bodhnath Stupa, Bhaktapur City, Dakshinkali, Kirtipur, Chobar, Bungamati, Khokana. Lunch at a local restaurant and dinner at hotel.

Day 4 - Kathmandu to Pokhara (Drive 212 Kms Approx. 5 Hours)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pokhara. In the 17th century Pokhara was a part of the Kingdom of Kaski which was one of the Chaubise Rajya (24 Kingdoms of Nepal) ruled by a branch of the Shah Dynasty. Pokhara lies on an important old trading route between China and India. Upon arrival, check-in to hotel. Lunch en-route and evening free for leisure. Dinner at Hotel.

Day 5 - Pokhara
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed with City tour, covering Sarangkot, Devi's Fall, Bindebasini Temple, Pehwa Lake, Mahendra Cave. Lunch en-route and dinner at the hotel.

Day 6 - Pokhara
Breakfast at hotel. Full day free time for individual sightseeing, relaxing and shopping etc. Lunch at a restaurant and dinner at hotel.

Day 7 - Pokhara to Sauraha (Drive 150 Kms Approx. 3 hours 30 min)
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Chitwan National Park Lunch en-route. Check into resort. Free time then dinner at hotel.

Day 8 - Chitwan National Park
Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy jungle activities viz. bird watching, nature walk, elephant safari, Tharu dance, etc. Lunch and dinner in the hotel.

Day 9 - Sauraha to Kathmandu (Drive 168 Kms Approx. 4 Hours)
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Kathmandu. Check into hotel. Evening free to cruise around the market and do some shopping.

Day 10 - Kathmandu to Paro, Bhutan / Thimpu (Fly)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for flight to Paro. Meet and greet. Drive to Thimpu. Transfer to hotel. Sightseeing.

Day 11 - Thimpu, Bhutan
Breakfast at hotel. Full day sightseeing to The Memorial Chorten, The Folk Heritage Museum (Phelchey Toenkhyim) and The National Library.

Day 12 - Thimpu, Bhutan
Breakfast at hotel. Today enjoy the Mountain Market and Lunch and Dinner at Hotel. Evening free for leisure.

Day 13 - Paro, Bhutan
Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Paro (2 Hours). Check into hotel. Today visit Ta Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels”), Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress where Bhutanese warriors fought Tibetan invaders centuries ago. Lunch en-route and dinner at the hotel.

Day 14 - Paro, Bhutan
Breakfast at hotel. Full day free for individual sightseeing, shopping etc. Lunch and dinner at the hotel

Day 15 - Paro, Bhutan to Kathmandu, Nepal (Fly)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for flight to Kathmandu. Farewell drinks and dinner in hotel.

Day 16 - Kathmandu, Nepal Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to airport. Departure.

If we are not or you are not able to find a partner you remain with the option of paying a single supplement. Please note that this only applies to accommodation during the tour. The cost for the same is provided as single supplement.

We do not foresee any problems, however there may be occasions when a same sex couple may be asked to sleep in single beds rather than sharing a double. We appreciate your cooperation.

These are frowned upon in this region among all travellers, not just those on an Adventure. This includes holding hands in public.

This trip does not have any specific gay hosted events, meals or day tours due to the cultural sensitivity of this region. We will do our best to provide a safe, comfortable environment for you and your fellow travellers to experience this culture. Nepal is considered to be one of the gay-friendliest and most visited destinations in South Asia. Several steps are being taken up by the Nepal Tourism Board in promoting Nepal as a gay-friendly destination. You will find some gay bars and clubs in Kathmandu.
