Far to the south lies Antarctica, a land of dazzling snowfields, crystalline glaciers, and dramatically carved ice mountains soaring above an untamed wilderness. There are no human sounds in this land of primeval beauty, only the wild cries of birds, seals, and whales echoing across a vast expanse of land and sea.

Antarctic Gay Cruise - See What Others Dont

Mountainous and magnificent, the remote, crescent-shaped island of South Georgia is renowned for its wildlife, its stunning natural beauty and its role in the history of Antarctic exploration. Shackleton’s final resting place is home to eight species of penguin, including huge colonies of King penguin, four species of Albatross and other wildlife.

We are pleased to present these magnificent adventures far away from the world we know aboard the new generation expedition ship SH Vega, which was designed and built specifically for Polar exploration. The size, limited guest capacity, superb accommodations, and advanced technical and mechanical systems of these expertly operated ships make it the expedition cruise ship of choice for discovering Antarctica.

Gay Buenos Aires

Day 1 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
Our itinerary is a perfect blend of connecting and relaxing in extreme comfort, and exploring the Last Frontier together. We’ll greet you at the Buenos Aires, Argentina airport upon your arrival and take you to our 4-star hotel nearby—included! Rest up before our real adventure begins tomorrow. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Buenos Aires is home to one of the biggest and best gay scenes in Latin America. It’s a city of great charm and character. It has a sort of shabby chic vibe; an air of faded grandeur. Argentina’s history has been turbulent and its capital city has a lot of stories to tell. One thing is for sure: Buenos Aires is never boring. It’s a big city so it’s worth staying for at least three days.

Ushuaia, Argentina gay cruise

Day 2 - Buenos Aires / Ushuaia, Argentina
We are transferred from our hotel in Buenos Aires to the airport for our flight to Ushuaia. Then we transfer to the ship—all of this is included! Shortly after sailing out of Ushuaia, we’ll gather for a hosted Meet-n-Greet Party where you’ll meet your fellow cruisers and start making new friends right away. Dinner with the group is next, followed by ship entertainment or personal relaxing or…really, whatever you want to do, it’s your vacation!

Ushuaia is the gateway to the White Continent. Found at the southernmost tip of South America in Argentinian Patagonia, the city is often described as “the End of the World”. The city’s mountain backdrop rises above the harbour and entrance to the Beagle Channel. The town itself is walkable and has a few small museums as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes - a good place to try Patagonian lamb cooked over open fire pits.

Antarctica cruise sea day

Days 3 & 4 - A Day at Sea!
Sea days are rarely dull. Take the time to sit back and let the world go by. The ship’s observation decks provide stunning views of the passing ocean. Days at sea give you the opportunity to mingle with other passengers and share your experiences of this incredible trip or head to our library which is stocked full of reference books. Get an expert’s view in one of our on-board lectures or perhaps perfect your photography skills with invaluable advice from our onboard professional photographers.

Antarctica gay cruise - South Shetland Islands

Day 5 - South Shetland Islands, Antarctic
While the South Shetlands’ proximity to Antarctica makes the ice-bound sea impassable during winter (April to November), these are the first islands to see snow melt in spring (March) and the slightly warmer temperature means that the fauna is also different from what you see in Antarctica proper. As we go ashore by Zodiac, notice ferns, grasses, lichens and native flora that have more in common with Patagonia than they do with Antarctica.

South Shetland Islands, Antarctic

Lying about 75 miles (120 kilometers) north of the Antarctic Peninsula, the South Shetland Islands are one of Antarctica’s most visited regions thanks to its warmer climate (compared to other areas in Antarctica), abundant wildlife, and proximity to Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego.Deception Island, with its interesting horse-shoe shape and warm swimming waters in Pendulum Cove, is one of South Shetland’s top tourist destinations. One of the most famous islands is Elephant Island, best known for sheltering Shackleton’s crew after their ship was destroyed in the Weddell Sea.

Antarctic Peninsula gay cruise

Days 6 - 8 - Antarctic Peninsula
Among captivating glaciers, majestic icebergs and snowy islands, the Antarctic Peninsula is where most visitors to the White Continent will live out their Antarctica dream. The Antarctic Peninsula, the most accessible area of the continent, hosts several scientific bases and some of the most interesting wildlife scenery, such as the extremely photogenic Lemaire Channel. Shore excursions might include Petermann Island, where among Adelie penguins, blue-eyed shags and skuas, huge, lumbering elephant seals haul out.

Antarctica gay cruise sea day

Days 9 & 10 - A Day at Sea!
After five days capturing as much of Antarctica as you can on your camera, you will need some time to absorb this life-affirming experience. The two days back up the Drake Passage will certainly give you that – and a whole lot more. Take the time to sit back and let the world go by. The ship’s observation decks provide stunning views of the passing ocean. Two more days at sea are the perfect chance to relax, unwind and do whatever takes your fancy. So whether that is going to the gym, visiting the spa, trying to spot a whale from the deck, reading a chapter or two, or simply taking a nap, these blue sea days are the perfect balance to the white days spent exploring on land.

Buenos Aires gay cruise

Day 11 - Ushuaia / Buenos Aires, Argentina
We disembark in Ushuaia and fly back to Buenos Aires with priceless memories of the experience of a lifetime. Don’t be too quick to get home, though. We will host a few days’ tour of beautiful Buenos Aires, one of the most gay-friendly cities in South America.

Gay Buenos Aires, the gloriously flamboyant and self-confident capital of Argentina, is increasingly being recognized as the Gay Capital of Latin America. History, culture, food, passion, and beautiful people. What more could you want? Gay men here – much like the city itself – are sexy and sophisticated, but are most certainly not the only reason to visit. Sensually satisfying, the intoxicating mix of faded European majesty with that zesty Latino passion is what makes Buenos Aires such an irresistible destination.
