Nicko Cruises Vasco Da Gama
Men. And Sea. Join European Gay Cruise 2024, All-Gay Greece & Egypt Cruise by the community for the community! Gay cruise that combines exciting metropoles, vibrant nightlife, beautiful beaches and cultures. Embark on all-gay cruise odyssey to Greek islands and the Pyramids, where you'll experience unforgettable wines, local cuisines, cultures, ruins of lost empires, blazing sunsets, temples, mosques, Crusader citadels, and far flung, mystical landscapes where gods and mythologies were born. Guests can expect great show program on board, parties, nude sun deck, dark room, and exclusive surprise performers.
A hand-picked selection of the most popular artists of the gay/lesbian stage culture will be on board. Our partners are the most well known gay scene parties from Germany, Austria and the Switzerland and guarantee the finest Club feeling every evening.
On October 9, 2024, we will set sail on our trusty Vasco da Gama in Athens to indulge in beach and nightlife the very next day in Mykonos. So that everyone can enjoy the island to the fullest, we will not set sail until 3:00 the other morning. After that we can relax for a day at sea and enjoy the pool games together.
On the third day we will reach Cyprus, where we will anchor in Larnaka. Larnaka is located on the south coast of Cyprus and is known for its city beach and palm-lined waterfront. From here excursions will also take us to the Turkish part of the island e.g. to ancient Salamis.
On a cruise to Egypt, explore the incredible history of Alexandria and its surroundings. Only a few hours away from bustling Cairo, this coastal city has a relaxed Mediterranean feel. Founded by Alexander the Great, its famed former residents include Cleopatra, Caesar, and Mark Antony, who lived storied lives here. Visit ancient temples, an amphitheater, and catacombs, or take a tour out of the city to see the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx.
Another sea day brings us on October 16 to Crete, which invites us to extend our vacation with its countless beaches.
Welcome Aboard the Vasco Da Gama.
In its own unique way, Vasco Da Gama combines the Portuguese explorer tradition with the demands of today’s cruise guests: a wide range of different bars and restaurants in an exclusive setting, lots of public space with a modern interior and tasteful design elements. On board, you'll find a full range of equipment for spa, fitness and your personal leisure activities. The personal atmosphere on board due to the manageable number of guests is key to the sense of well-being. In the very spirit of Portuguese hospitality, our friendly crew remains committed to your welfare.
In today's cruise ship market, our ship is regarded as small due to the fact that we have limited passenger capacity. The beautiful teak-wood decks exude classic charm, working in perfect harmony with the ship’s elegant and modern appearance. At 219 metres long and with a volume of 55,820 GRT, the ship provides its guests with all the space they need to thrive, spread across nine passenger decks.
On board, you'll feel this spaciousness, for example, in the cabins and suites (16 to 102 sqm in size), five bars and lounges in different designs, five restaurants, an elegant spa area with sauna and steam bath, a large fitness centre, sports areas on the outside decks as well as two pools, one of which has a sliding glass roof.
And in our “Hollywood's” show theatre over two decks, our on-board theatre company provides you with top-class evening entertainment. Bom espetáculo!
Total of 550 crew members have just one goal: to make you feel comfortable! On top of the generous room-to-passenger ratio and our range of on-board facilities, the ample crew-to-guest ratio means you can find your own personal way to relax on board the ship.
Whether you prefer to read a good book with a cool drink under the glass dome in our viewing lounge, the “Dome”, or would like to expend some of your energy in the outdoor sports areas, Vasco Da Gama has the full range of options to choose from. Our chefs are, of course, able to meet all common dietary requirements.
Your home on the high seas: on board Vasco Da Gama, you will find exactly the right cabin for your cruise on the oceans. No matter which deck you are on or which category you choose – you will feel completely at home.
All our cabins are equipped with a wardrobe, a shower or bath, rest room, individually regulated air conditioning/heating, a safe and satellite TV. The beds can be separated into two singles if desired. Hairdryers are available in all cabins.
Our Cruise Hostess - Nina Queer
Already on our first two cruises she was the mother of all pleasure-loving sailors. In the morning she greeted the hungover breakfast guests over the loudspeakers and remembered with relish all the misconduct and excesses of the previous night. During the day, she bribed the glamor quiz with her knowledge of the world of A, B and C stars.
In the afternoons she sorted the left and right people at the pool games or led drinking party excursions to wine tastings, although at night she still stood almost vertically behind the DJ booth. Known from television (Frauentausch, Central Comedy), radio (Energy) and for her books and parties, in 2024 she will ensure that discipline and order remain a foreign word and that every pot has a lid.
European Gay Cruise Entertainment
In addition to the on-board show program, numerous highlights will again provide excitement. Our artists include the Italian-born pianist and singer Stefano May, as well as many others that we will publish one by one.
Small acts such as karaoke, readings, quizzes, instrumental artists or acrobats are planned for the varied bars and lounges. By the way, everyone can make their own contribution to the colorful program by participating in the contest to decorate the cabin doors.
A highlight will be the Pool Games with the election of Mr. Cruise on the first sea day. Here, the candidates have to master various sporting challenges and undergo almost juvenile games in an all-around competition.
If you want to let off steam afterwards, you can do so on our nudist deck, which is also open at night...
By popular request of our guests, the popular theme parties will be expanded, where guests can give free rein to their imagination for costumes. We will announce the themes in the course of the next few month. Parties will be held in the fully glassed-in 270° observation lounge THE DOME on deck. Musically, the selection ranges from pop and club sounds to house and techno, e.g. by our resident DJ Chris Bekker.

Disembarkation October 16th until 10 AM
Day 1 - Wednesday, October 09, 2024 Athens, Greece Athens, a treasure trove of archaeological monuments and home to a friendly, very Greek gay scene. Athens is a great city to discover. It can claim to be, in no small part, the birthplace of western civilisation. You’ll see great monuments from Ancient Greece, chiefly the Parthenon. This temple complex looms over the city, the greatest architectural relic of Greece’s Golden Age. A great city for gay travelers, you’ll find many excellent gay bars and gay clubs in Athens. It also has a celebrated culinary scene. Athens is more than a relic from antiquity. The modern city has so much to offer.
Day 2 - Thursday, October 10, 2024 Mykonos, Greece Mykonos – a unique summer island destination that attracts tens of thousands of gay visitors every year. Mykonos is the most popular gay destination in Europe. It’s where the international gay jet set congregates every year in the summer months. Elia Beach and Jackie O’ are the places to be. Mykonos is supremely stylish and it offers the perfect combination of chic hotels, buzzing gay nightlife and glamorous people. Take a trip to Mykonos’ famous windmills – or at least get a picture with them in the background. The main hub of gay bars and restaurants can be found in Mykonos Town. Mykonos is one of the world’s most Instagrammable destinations!
Day 3 - Friday, October 11, 2024 Fun Day at Sea! Slow down. Relax. Maybe visit the gym. Lay in the sun. Dangle your feet in the pool, or enjoy one of the fun & entertainment activities. Meet new friends...and get ready for the T-Dance Party!
Day 4 - Saturday, October 12, 2024 Larnaka, Cyprus Limassol offers ancient history, a wide variety of cuisine, Blue Flag beaches and some of the most beautiful coastline in the world. With a story that dates back to antiquity, the castle in the historic center is where Richard the Lionheart married, and it's from here that the entire town radiates. The surrounding area is a heady mix of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops. Cruise to Cyprus to find plenty of historical and cultural sites, including museums, churches and old shuttered houses that give you a view into the past. When you're ready to dust the sand off from the beach, head to the glamorous marina to discover how Limassol is much more than sun and sea.
Day 5 - Sunday, October 13, 2024 Alexandria (Cairo), Egypt Alexandria, Egypt's second-largest city, offers something for every history-loving traveller: ancient temples covered in millennia-old hieroglyphics, museums filled with priceless treasures and artefacts, and a vibrant history coloured by a mosaic of cultures and peoples, including Greeks, Romans, Byzantines and more. Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BCE, the city was once home to the famed Library of Alexandria, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and renowned for its vast collection of written knowledge. Today, you'll feel like you've been transported to the past as you wander Alexandria's bustling, colourful souks, soak up views of the Mediterranean Sea from the Stanley Bridge or dive beneath the waves on a scuba tour to explore the ruins of Cleopatra's Palace. These are just some of the many experiences that await in this ancient capital.
Day 6 - Monday, October 14, 2024 Alexandria (Cairo), Egypt Only a few hours away from bustling Cairo, this coastal city has a relaxed Mediterranean feel. Founded by Alexander the Great, its famed former residents include Cleopatra, Caesar, and Mark Antony, who lived storied lives here. Stroll the Corniche, Alexandria’s 10-mile long waterfront promenade, taking in the sea air, the local sights, street vendors, and music. Explore the National Museum to learn about Alexandria’s illustrious history and see amazing artifacts. Visit ancient temples, an amphitheater, and catacombs, or take a tour out of the city to see the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. The charming seaside walkway and fascinating architecture make Alexandria an exotic, romantic destination.
Day 7 - Tuesday, October 15, 2024 Fun Day at Sea! There’s no better day of the week for a sea day than today. Sleep in. Relax onboard. Take a long, leisurely lunch. And then join us on the upper decks for our T-Dance of the week under the warm Mediterranean sun.
Day 8 - Wednesday, October 16, 2024 Heraklion (Crete), Greece Crete is Greece’s largest island. The region is home to several other islands including Knossos and is a popular destination for gay travelers. Whether you visit Heraklion, Crete to admire the remains of an ancient civilization or simply to soak in the rays on some of the best beaches in Europe, the city is guaranteed to delight and amaze you. Visiting the 3,000-year-old Palace of Knossos is like traveling back to the time of the Minoans, while exploring the Venetian-era Koules Fortress will allow you to learn about history while taking in sweeping coastal vistas. Crete's coast is also magnificent. You can sun yourself on Amoudara Beach during the day, then watch the sunset from horseback as you ride down Karteros Beach.
