Carnival Cruises Carnival Pride
When planning a Midwinter bare cruise there are always certain considerations. The locations we visit must be warm. We want as many nude options as possible including days at sea to relax bare aboard the ship. Most of all we know passengers love sea, sun and fun; with our Big Nude Boat 2023 we’ve checked all the boxes!
We embrace the wide diversity of people that are attracted to social nude recreation. We welcome people of all shapes, sizes, ethnicites, sexual orientations, and age ranges.
By joining us on a Bare Necessities cruise, you are not forced to become a nudist and we do not ask you to label yourself as such. Bare vacationing is about you. It’s about how you feel, it’s about being comfortable in your own skin, and it’s about seeing the world in a whole new way. All we do is provide you with the opportunity to go bare. How bare? That’s up to you.
We encourage you to forget what you think you know about bare vacationing and join us for the experience of a lifetime. We promise you’ll leave a different person than you were when you started.
When you shed your clothing, you’re also shedding all of the labels that society has given you. How much money you make, what you look like, and your sexual orientation, just to name a few, are not on the table. Bare Necessities is a safe place for you to be yourself and to be free from judgment.
You don’t need to be part of a couple to join us! You can room with a friend, go single, or we’ll help you to find a roommate! Any way you want to join us, we’ll be glad to have you.
One of the best things about cruising with Bare Necessities are the connections you make. There’s something about being physically bare around people that allows you to more easily bare your soul. Walls are brought down, and genuine relationships are formed. Fun fact: 75% of first-time bare cruisers come back for more!
Sailing on our favorite Fun Ship, the Carnival Pride, we’ll be visiting islands we haven’t visited in decades: St. Kitts, St. Thomas and Antigua. These three islands are as far south as we can travel in the Caribbean and still make it home in two weeks. They are warm. The water is clear and blue. They are waiting to welcome us back.
Grand Turk and Amber Cove have always been popular ports. However, the highlight of the cruise will be our exclusive visits to the private beach resort of Princess Cays and a day at the beach at everyone’s favorite private island of Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. These two days of nude sea, sun and fun will be a return to bare-adise.
Passengers have requested longer cruises and many have extended their vacation by taking an admittedly less fun textile cruise before or after our charter. European and Aussie travelers have said the want longer cruises to make flying across the pond or from down under truly worthwhile. This cruise is the answer to everyone who has said they wanted more!
More time in the sun, more crystal clear warm water for skinny dipping, more interesting ports of call, more sea days to soak up some rays and more fun aboard a ship that is a passenger favorite: the sleek, fast, over-the-top Carnival Pride.
Join us for an epic journey on the Big Nude Boat 2023, make a multitude of new bare friends and enjoy the ultimate in Bare Cruising.
Combine a great itinerary with Valentine’s Day and onboard costume parties such as Fat Tuesday, as well as a chance to meet the best bare passengers in the world – you’ve got a cruise to remember.
Clothes-free, child-free and carefree once again aboard a Bare Necessities cruise. What could be better than that?
Is the entire cruise ship clothing free? When do I need to be clothed?
Onboard of our ship there are only three situations that require clothing:
• While docked in port.
• In the main and specialty dining rooms.
• At the Captain’s Gala Cocktail Party.
While in port and in the dining rooms, casual attire such as shorts and T-shirts are acceptable, but lingerie, fetish wear, robes are prohibited. Otherwise, you may be nude throughout the ship morning, noon, and night.
Your Ship - Carnival Pride
Carnival Pride is the second ship in the Spirit Class which includes the Miracle and the Legend. Spirit Class ships are identical in layout and design, but differ in decor. The ship’s theme is "Icons of Beauty" and among her many classic nude statues and paintings we’ll feel right at home. The Pride has received the Fun Ship 2.0 makeover as well as a recent refurbishment in 2019.
The choices for dining aboard include the Art Deco inspired main dining room, zen-like Bonsai sushi, and David’s specialty steakhouse at the top of the ship with a 12 foot tall reproduction of the statue of David waiting to greet you.
Choices for dining au naturel include the Mermaid’s Grill on the Lido Deck with lovely mermaid statues adorning the walls, the incredibly popular Guy’s Burger Joint, and the deliciously spicy BlueIguana Cantina. Enjoy specialty coffees, 24-hour pizza and ice cream, or find something sweet at Cherry on Top.
Skinny-dip in the pools and soak in the hot tubs. Enjoy a movie under the stars at the Seaside Theater. Get lost in a good book, or just one another’s company, at the Serenity retreat. Take a ride on the waterslides.
Music lovers join the sing-alongs in the Piano Bar and don’t miss the lavish song and dance performances in the Main Theater. Dance the night away at Beauties Dance Club and enjoy live music performances all around the ship. Cap off the evening with laughter at the Comedy Club. Activities abound aboard Carnival Pride.
This ship is sleek, fast, and with it’s daring decor Carnival Pride is the perfect fit for our bare cruise. We are proud to announce she will be home for our one-of-a-kind epic two-week journey.
Carnival’s staff and crew are the best and we can bare-ly wait to see them again in 2023!
Carnival Pride is 88,500 tons with a guest capacity of 2,124. It is one of six ships built with the Panamax design that allows passage through the Panama Canal. The Pride was Carnival’s flagship for many years.

Tampa, Florida
With easy access from nudist resorts in Florida and a top-rated International Airport, the Port of Tampa is the perfect place to begin and end our 75th Bare Cruise charter. Most of the nudist resorts in Florida, including Cypress Cove and Lake Como will plan a pre and post cruise special to entice you to extend your vacation. Please contact them directly for more information. Tampa also offers plenty of hotel choices if a resort cannot be part of your epic journey.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
St. Thomas is known for pristine beaches, excellent snorkeling, and Charlotte Amalie, the capital city of the US Virgin Islands founded by the Danish in the 1600s. Tour a 1679 watchtower called Blackbeard’s Castle, in reference to the area’s pirate history. Visit a local-history museum near the harbor in 17th-century Fort Christian. Take the Skyride to Paradise Point located 700 feet above the city or climb the famous 99 Steps for a fabulous view of the Caribbean.
Basseterre, St.Kitts
St. Kitts is the larger island comprising the nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Ringed with rain-forested mountains and sandy beaches, the capital city of Basseterre is home to historic buildings from the colonial era. Legend has it that Columbus named the island after St. Christopher, the patron saint of travelers and the name was later shortened to St. Kitts. Islanders invite you to enjoy limin’ which is the local name for relaxation. Lounge on a beach, soak up the sun and sip on a Ting with a Sting.
St.John's, Antigua
Antigua, pronounced An-tee’ga, is the largest of the English-speaking Leeward Islands and one of the two islands that make up the nation of Antigua and Barbuda. Surrounded by coral reefs, the island is known for its many sandy beaches and quiet coves. Used as a base for Admiral Horatio Nelson’s fleet in the 1780s, the restored English Harbour includes a marina and museum. See the best view of the island at Shirley Heights, a former military lookout with panoramic views.
Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos
Grand Turk is the capital of the Turks and Caicos archipelago. In addition to the beauty and history of the island, the Cruise Center is a world-class, beach-front facility. Nestled among nearly 18 acres of landscaped grounds, guests can swim in the sparkling ocean waters or in one of the largest swimming pools in the Caribbean, or simply stroll along the idyllic beach. Snorkelers can explore several sunken Reef Balls that attract fish and see a few 18th century submerged cannons and anchors.
Amber Cove, Dominican Republic
Amber Cove is a lively private cruise port in the Dominican Republic. It is brimming with bars and pools, plus opportunities for lounging and shopping, and is the gateway to an island paradise, Dominican-style. Beyond Amber Cove is Puerto Plata, a town that began life as the first European settlement in the Americas founded by Christopher Columbus. Whether you're looking for a day at the beach, seeking some adventure in the Dominican Republic or just want to lounge poolside, Amber Cove has it all.
Princess Cays, Bahamas
Princess Cays is a private resort on the island of Eleuthera, Bahamas. When you arrive in Love Boat Marina you’ll discover an island’s worth of fun and amenities. You’ll find a BBQ pit already fired up for lunch, palm trees, and an exclusive retreat. You may sip a cool drink or browse the shops and the local craft market. All of Princess Cays facilities are linked by walkways. Recreational activities abound. Enjoy volleyball and a full range of water sports, kayaking, sailing, or simply relax on the beach au naturel.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas
Half Moon Cay is our private island bare-adise in the Bahamas made exclusively bare for our guests. There are plenty of loungers on the beach, or rent a clam-shell for two or a cabana. Relaxing is encouraged, but there is still so much to do! Splash in the crystal clear water, ride horseback on silky white sand, or gently paddle a kayak through acres of protected lagoon with stingrays and so much more. Half Moon Cay was just named Best Private Island by Porthole Magazine for the 20th year!
The do’s & don’ts of bare cruising!
We strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and judgment-free atmosphere on each one of our chartered cruises.
• All passengers must be dressed any time the ship is in port or the Captain announces that clothing is required. Announcements will only be made when the ship is entering a port.
• All passengers must be dressed for meals in the dining room and if they choose to attend the Captain’s Cocktail Party.
• Lingerie is not considered appropriate dining room attire. Fetish wear, including excessive genital jewelry, is not appropriate at any time.
• Please do not sit nude on the ship furnishings. Towels will be provided throughout the ship.
• No photographs, video, or electronic images of any person may be taken without the express consent of that individual. People found taking photographs in the designated “NO PHOTO ZONES” on board our ship charters face confiscation of their photo capturing equipment and dismissal from the cruise at the next port of call.
• Overt sexual activity or any solicitation for such activity is strictly prohibited.
• Passengers must comply with US law regarding the possession or use of illegal substances.
Bare Necessities also complies with the cruise line’s regulations, including the right to dismiss persons from the cruise for abusing alcohol and/or drugs, sexual solicitation or overt sexual acts, and for not complying with the laws of the country we are visiting. There are no refunds for such a dismissal nor is transportation provided from the port of dismissal.
