Leisure day in Arusha to relax after your international flight. Known affectionately as the "Geneva of Africa", Arusha is much more than a simple stopover, it is characterized by a vibrant city llfe, where downtown is a busy, colorful mix of old colonial buildings, chaotic traffic, modern conveniences, and bustling local markets. It’s also surrounded by the fertile volcanic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and sits near stunning natural areas like Lake Duluti and Arusha National Park, where you can do walking safaris or hike waterfalls. Arusha is surprisingly Cosmopolitan & Green, boasting a range of restaurants and coffee shops.

Day 3 - Saturday, January 08, 2028
Today we drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its magnificent elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and abundant wildlife.

The Baobab Landscape: The savannah is dotted with hundreds of centuries-old baobab trees (also known as the "Tree of Life")

Day 4 - Sunday, January 09, 2028
Today we have a full day’s game drive.
Best known for its elephant herds and tree-climbing lions, Tarangire is home to all the classic African savannah species plus a few unusual ones – such as the long-necked gerenuk – that you won’t see in the Serengeti. It’s home to all the big predators and with 550 species of bird on the tick list, it’s a fabulous destination for bird watchers. Overnight in the Tarangire National Park.

Day 5 - Monday, January 10, 2028
After breakfast we drive to Karatu via the Lake Manyara National Park, home to diverse birdlife, hippos, monkeys, and beautiful groundwater forests, before overnighting in Karatu.
Lying at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a shallow alkaline lake, the north-west of which is protected by the Lake Manyara National Park. Much of the 330km² park is taken up by the lake but one of the many surprises in store for visitors is the remarkably wide diversity of terrestrial habitats – forest, wetland, floodplain, acacia woodland – which in turn supports an equally impressive variety of wildlife.

Day 6 - Tuesday, January 11, 2028
Today we have an early departure for Ngorongoro Crater game drive, offering one of the best opportunities to spot the Big Five in a single day.
The Ngorongoro Crater in northern Tanzania is often referred to as the “8th Wonder of the World,” and once you reach the crater rim, that description starts to make sense. You're looking into a vast, ancient caldera, the world's largest intact volcanic crater, where open plains, forest and water sources exist within a single basin. The scale is striking, but so is the activity, with wildlife often visible as soon as you arrive, moving across the landscape below. This is followed by a scenic drive to the Southern Serengeti (Ndutu area). We overnight in the Southern Serengeti.

Day 7 - Wednesday, January 12, 2028
Today we have a full-day’s game drive in the Serengeti, searching for lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and countless other wildlife. Overnight in the Southern Serengeti.
Home to one of the world's greatest concentrations of wildlife and the majority of the Great Wildebeest Migration, Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's flagship conservation area and a must-do for first-time and returning safari goers alike.
Translated from the Maa language as ‘the land that moves on forever', the Serengeti's vast rolling grasslands and golden savannah give travellers a soul-stirring sense of space. Although it is most famous for supporting millions of wildebeest, there are also sizable populations of zebra, buffalo, elephant and giraffe, and myriad gazelle and antelope species. And where there are plains game aplenty, predators like lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and wild dog are sure to follow.

Another full day’s game drive, exploring different regions of the Serengeti, following wildlife movements and enjoying unforgettable game viewing.

Day 9 - Friday, January 14, 2028
Another full day’s game drive, searching for lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and countless other wildlife.
Such is the density of wildlife in the Serengeti that it provides a spectacular safari experience no matter what time of year you visit. Although some of the wildebeest, zebra and antelope migrate to fresh grazing, not all do and none of the predators move with the herds either. The open plains, wide grasslands and temperate climate mean that the vegetation is never too thick to spot animals, and the weather is very seldom too inclement to venture out. Overnight in the Southern Serengeti.

Day 10 - Saturday, January 15, 2028
Today we start our drive back stopping for the night at Lake Eyasi. Unlike the traditional wildlife-heavy northern circuit, this is an off-the-beaten-track destination famous for immersive cultural encounters with indigenous tribes, including the hunter-gatherer Hadzabe and the metalworking Datoga.
Lake Eyasi, located in East Africa’s northern Tanzania, is a hidden gem within a premier safari destination that offers a truly genuine and immersive travel experience. Visiting Lake Eyasi provides a unique perspective on the African safari experience, from cultural encounters with the Hadzabe tribe, one of Africa’s last remaining hunter-gatherer communities, to the breathtaking natural beauty of the lake and its surrounding landscapes.
