Wild Alaska All-Lesbian Adventure Cruise 2025
August 16 21, 2025
National Geographic Lindblad Expeditions Sea Bird
We are partnering with National Geographic and Lindblad once again to bring you the best of Alaska! Indulge your inner explorer on this compact, six-day/five-night expedition along the untamed coastal landscapes of Alaska’s Inside Passage. This pristine wilderness is home to a rich Tlingit culture, an enduring frontier spirit, and a panoply of wildlife—from high-flying eagles and tail-fluking whales to salmon-fishing bears. Hike through forests of towering trees, kayak in glacier-carved fjords, and raft from an ancient Alaska native village.
On this trip, we explore this pristine wilderness aboard our 62-passenger, nimble National Geographic Sea Bird expedition ship and set out in zodiacs for up-close encounters with glaciers and all sorts of birds and critters.
Though you may have seen Alaska’s glaciers and wildlife from a distance on a large cruise, you will feel like you are in the middle of a National Geographic show on this smaller vessel, experiencing it up close. You’ll be watching icebergs float by and hear the thunderous roar as well as feel the ripples of waves, after a glacial calving.
But there’s more! Onboard naturalists will educate us about wildlife as we watch for whales, killer whales; kayak or paddleboard along the rugged coast, search for bears and a variety of birds (including the bald eagle); hike through forests; capture beautiful orange, pink and purple lighting (and maybe a rainbow!) reflecting on the water and in the skies; breathe in the fresh, clean air and experience the peacefulness, privilege and gratitude of being surrounded by all of this precious wilderness. A National Geographic/Lindblad-trained photographer will be on board to help you capture these shots!

Your Ship - National Geographic Sea Bird
Welcome to the National Geographic Sea Bird! Accommodating just 62 guests in 31 outside cabins, the National Geographic Sea Bird is large enough to operate in remote environments in comfort, yet small enough to enter ports and narrow inlets inaccessible to bigger ships. It carries sea kayaks and a fleet of expedition landing crafts, providing easy access to coastlines and other places of interest. Each cabin faces outside and all cabins have windows and are attractively and comfortably furnished with lower berths, private bathrooms, reading lights and individual climate control.
Public Areas National Geographic Sea Bird features a library; global market; lounge with full-service bar and facilities for films, slide shows and presentations; observation deck; partially covered sun deck with chairs and tables, and LEXspa. Our “open Bridge” provides guests an opportunity to meet our officers and captain and learn about navigation.
Meals Meals are served in the dining room at a single seating with unassigned tables for an informal atmosphere and easy mingling. Breakfast and lunch are usually buffet with a variety of choices, and dinner is sit-down service with 3-4 sustainable choices. The menu features locally inspired fare, and locally sourced where possible.

Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness, Alaska Sunday, August 17, 2025
Wake up in Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm, part of the Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness. Cruise through this glacier-sculpted fjord, then set out to explore by Zodiac. View the soaring Dawes or South Sawyer Glacier up close—and keep an eye out for the dramatic sight of huge slabs of ice breaking off and crashing into the water below. If conditions permit, paddle a kayak below the steep walls of the fjord.
Haines, Alaska Monday, August 18, 2025
A paradise for adventure seekers, Haines offers the chance to cycle along the edge of a glacial fjord, go fly fishing for salmon and Dolly Verdon trout, or choose from an array of world-class hikes. Other options include a visit to the ancient Tlingit village of Klukwan for a dance demonstration and cultural interpretation before rafting down the Chilkat River. This day brims with options.
Icy Strait & the Inian Islands, Alaska Tuesday, August 19, 2025
Spend today searching for wildlife in nutrient-rich waters where the Pacific Ocean meets the Inside Passage. Options include a Zodiac cruise among the Inian Islands, home to a sizeable population of Steller sea lions; kayaking in the protected coves of Chichagof Island; or hiking in lush temperate rain forest where bald eagles dot the canopies.
Exploring Baranof or Chichagof Island Wednesday, August 20, 2025
Together with savvy local fishermen we’ve known for years, we’ll venture out in expedition landing craft to view the numerous mother-calf pairs that thrive in this region. We’ll also have an opportunity to explore the beaches, and if you’re feeling up to it, grab one of our fat-tire bikes to roam the seemingly endless beaches.
Sitka, Alaska Thursday, August 21, 2025
Arrive in Sitka, situated on the western coast of Baranof Island and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. After breakfast, disembark and we will take a walk in Sitka National Historical Park, where Tlingit and Haida totem poles tower over coastal trails. Visit the Alaska Raptor Center for an up-close look at Alaska’s birds of prey. Transfer to the airport for your flight home or to a hospitality room at Harrington Centennial Hall for later flights. (Flight departure time: after 1 pm)
